Elegant Victorian Parlor Chair

This parlor chair is a lovely example of Victorian design. I believe that the frame is made of mahogany; the top portion is hand carved flowers. It is sturdy and comfortable and has wood castors on the front legs (two different colors; one light, one dark). This chair has been refinished, reupholstered and the nail head has been replaced. I think that whoever performed the work, did a wonderful job. It has been reupholstered in a lovely burgundy/cranberry color felt. The nail head is an antique style. The chair is in wonderful condition, with some small nicks and dings (which is to be expected) the only flaw that I see is some marks from the old nail head, that were left behind when it was replaced. Since the chair has been refinished, this isn’t too noticeable. This would be a wonderful addition to any study, foyer, and bedroom and would make an elegant and comfortable vanity chair.
